Reglas del Bádminton:

El juego de bádminton que tanto se puede jugar individualmente como en dobles, se compone de 3 juegos, siendo una partida a la mejor de tres (quién vencer primero dos juegos gana). El objetivo es llegar a los 21 puntos primero que el oponente en el juego, teniendo que haber una diferencia de 2 puntos entre ellos para acabar el juego. Si el juego llega a los 29 × 29, entonces quien marca primero el punto 30 gana.

Material básico:

Una raqueta por persona y un volante. En general se trata de materiales bastante baratos y fáciles de conseguir.

El volante es el móvil empleado para jugar al bádminton y tiene una forma cónica y abierta: el cono (cola) está formado por 16 plumas insertadas alrededor de una base de corcho semiesférica (pesa entre 4,74 y 5,50 gramos).

La raqueta es ligera y en ella se distinguen tres partes: cabeza (con cordaje), caña (o varilla) y empuñadura (lugar por donde se sujeta).

objetivo: lograr que el volante caiga sobre el campo contrario o que el adversario no sea capaz de devolverlo a nuestro campo.
Modalidades: individuales (un jugador/a contra otro/a), dobles (por parejas) y dobles mixto (cada pareja formada por un chico y una chica).

Espacio de juego: en individuales el espacio de juego mide 13,40m. de largo por 5,18m. de ancho, dividido en dos partes iguales de manera transversal por una red situada a una altura de 1,55m.

En cada campo hay dos áreas de saque (izquierda y derecha). El servicio (o saque) se efectúa desde el área de saque en la que nos encontremos hacia el área de saque diagonalmente opuesta en el otro campo. Cuando la puntuación del equipo que realiza el servicio es par (0, 2, 6, 14…) siempre se saca desde el área de saque derecha, y cunado es impar (1, 5, 9, 13…) se hace desde la izquierda.

Puntuación: es necesario estar en posesión del saque para sumar puntos. Se juega al mejor de tres sets, por lo tanto el partido lo gana el primer jugador/a en lograr dos sets. En categoría masculina un set finaliza al llegar a 15 puntos, mientras que en categoría femenina hay que lograr 11 puntos. 

El set de los partidos masculinos hay que ganarlos con una ventaja de 3 puntos. En caso de empate a 13, el jugador que haya llegado primero puede optar a un desempate a 5 puntos. Si llegan a 14 puntos empatan, la opción de desempate será de 3 puntos.

El set de los partidos femeninos hay que ganarlos con una ventaja de dos puntos. En caso de empate a 9, la jugadora que haya llegado primero puede optar a un desempate a 3 puntos. Si llegan empatadas a 10 puntos, la opción de desempate será de 2 puntos.

Faltas: las siguientes acciones implican la pérdida de la acción de juego que se esté disputando:
Enviar el volante fuera del campo de juego.
Realizar el servicio fuera del área de saque que nos corresponde.
Realizar el servicio con el volante por encima de la cintura.
Enviar el servicio (saque) fuera del área de saque contraria.
Golpear el volante en el campo contrario y/o tocar con nuestra raqueta la red.
Tocar la red o los postes que la soportan durante el juego.
Si el volante se queda enganchado en la red o en la raqueta de uno de los jugadores.
Golpear el volante más de una vez de manera consecutiva el mismo jugador (o su compañero, en caso de dobles).

Badminton Rules:

The badminton game that can be played both individually and in doubles, consists of 3 games, being a game of the best of three (who first wins two games wins).The objetive is to reach 21 points first than the opponent in the game, having to have a difference of 2 points betwen them to finish the game. In each field there are two service areas (left and right). The service (or serve) is made from the service area in which we find ourselves towards the service area diagonally opposite in the other field.When the score of the team performing the service is even (0, 2, 6, 14 ...) it is always taken from the right service area, and when it is odd (1, 5, 9, 13 ...) it is made from the left

Score: it is necessary to be in possession of the service to score points. The best of three sets is played, therefore the game is won by the first player in two sets.In the masculine category one set ends when reaching 15 points, while in the female category it is necessary to achieve 11 points.

The set of the masculine parties must be won with a 3-point advantage.In case of a tie at 13, the player who has arrived first may opt for a tiebreaker at 5 points. If they reach 14 tie points, the tie-break option will be 3 points.

The set of the women's matches must be won with a two-point lead. In the case of a tie at 9, the player who has arrived first may qualify for a tiebreaker at 3 points. If they are tied at 10 points, the tie-break option will be 2 points.

Fouls: the following actions imply the loss of the game action that is being disputed:

Send the shuttle out of the field.

Perform the service outside the service area that corresponds to us.

Perform the service with the steering wheel above the waist.

Send service (serve) outside the counter serve area.

Hit the wheel in the opposite field and / or touch the net with our racket.

Touch the net or the posts that support it during the game.

If the steering wheel stays stuck in the net or in the racket of one of the players.

Hitting the wheel more than once consecutively the same player (or his partner, in case of doubles).
